BEST Program offers training in the US for would-be Italian entrepreneurs

Promoted by the US Embassy in Rome in collaboration the Fulbright Commission and Invitalia, the Business Exchange and Student Training (BEST) Program gives would-de Italian entrepreneuers the opportunity to train in the Silicon Valley.
The program supports young researchers, economists and university graduates at postgraduate level to undertake professional development and internships in the US. Would-be entrepreneurs participating to the program are required to present an innovative business idea in the fields of ICT, Biotech, Machinery and Tools, Energy and Green Technology, Art, Design and Fashion.

Successful candidates will receive a $35.000 scholarship to attend entrepreneurship courses at Santa Clara University and attend a four-month internship in an American start-up. Scholarship recipients will also have the opportunity to attend networking events to meet with Venture Capitalists and Angel Investor in Italy and the United States. Upon returning to Italy, program participants will be followed for a period of 6 months, to accelerate the launch of its start-up .
 
Applications must be lodged by April 18. The Fulbright Commission, upon a first selection, will invite best candidates for an interviews in English. The announcement is available here.
